Kaweco Sport ballpoint fox

The Kaweco Sport in Fox is a push-button ballpoint pen in a compact, eight-sided pocket format, its design dating back to the 1930s. The warm reddish-brown of the barrel is created from a blend of red and orange colour pigments – rich, organic, unmistakable. At just 13 cm long, it sits comfortably in any shirt or trouser pocket and is manufactured in Germany. It comes factory-fitted with a blue Kaweco D1 Soul ballpoint refill.

Features

• Fox colour: A warm reddish-brown from red and orange colour pigments – neither orange nor brown, but a vibrant tone in between. Stands out particularly clearly on matt and textured surfaces.
• Heart-curve mechanism: The push mechanism operates with precision and silence – no clicking, no play. Retracting and extending the refill works with a single, clean click.
• Eight-sided plastic barrel: The eight facets grip the pen in your hand and prevent it from rolling away on smooth surfaces. The weight is light and the grip compact.
• D1 Soul refill (blue, standard): Oil-based ballpoint refill in D1 format. Writes smoothly with a rich line, dries quickly and leaves no smudging on ordinary paper. Not archive-safe.
• Replaceable refill: All Kaweco D1 Soul refills fit – available in blue and black, in sizes 0.8 mm (fine), 1.0 mm (medium) and 1.2 mm (broad). Other D1-compatible refills can also be used.
• Made in Germany: Developed and manufactured in Nuremberg.

Use & Tips

• Pocket format for on the go: At 13 cm, the Sport fits into shirt and trouser pockets without fuss. No cap to lose, no screwing on – simply click and write.
• Paper choice: The D1 Soul refill works particularly cleanly on smooth, calendered paper with an even ink flow. On rougher papers it also performs reliably, with the line appearing slightly softer.
• Refill change: Unscrew the cap, pull out the refill, insert a new D1 refill – done. Those preferring a broader line can switch to the 1.2 mm size; for finer handwriting, the 0.8 mm version is recommended.
• As a second or travel pen: The Sport accompanies notebooks and planners as a constantly accessible alternative – compact enough to slip into a book spine or elastic band.
• Colour combinations: Fox harmonises with natural brown, cream and olive-green paper accessories – but also creates a warm contrast against dark notebooks.
