- Refill replacement: The D1 is a widely-used format. Those who prefer quick-drying refills (for example, for left-handers) can switch to compatible quick-drying ballpoint refills without tools. Finer 0.8 mm refills for more precise notes are also available.
- No clip: The Liliput Capped comes without an attached clip. If you'd like to secure the pen to your notebook or shirt pocket, you can optionally attach a Kaweco Liliput Nostalgia clip (sold separately, size "M" for the Capped) — it sits on the cap and can be removed at any time.
- Paper choice: With a 1.0 mm ballpoint refill, the Liliput writes smoothly on virtually any paper. On smooth, calendered paper, the refill flows particularly evenly; on rougher surfaces, the slightly wider line width provides sufficient ink delivery for clean, crisp writing.
