Each double-page spread contains a complete week – the timeline runs vertically, with all seven days receiving equal space. The booklet covers 28 weeks and can be started at any time of year, as no dates are pre-printed. Inside: cream-coloured MD Paper with thread-sewn binding.

• Equal space for all seven days: Saturday and Sunday receive the same column width as weekdays – weekends can be fully planned, not just noted in the margins.
• Monthly overviews at the beginning: Before the weekly pages are monthly overviews as a compact yearly snapshot – practical for forward planning and quick orientation.
• MD Paper, cream-white: Midori Diary Paper is acid-free, ink-resistant and shows minimal bleed-through or fraying with fountain pens, rollerballs and fibre-tip pens. The lightly textured, cool surface provides a pleasant feedback for the nib.
• Thread-sewn binding: The pages are stitched, not just glued – the booklet stays flat on the desk even with daily use and lasts longer than glued bindings.
• 28 weeks / 6 months per booklet: Two refills cover a complete calendar year.

Use & Tips

• Time-block planning: The vertical time axis is especially suited for time-blocking – work blocks, meetings and breaks can be drawn directly as segments into the daily columns, even with a fountain pen or fineliner on MD Paper without significant bleed-through.
• Combination with a lined or blank refill: Those who want to keep longer notes or lists alongside the weekly view can place a second refill (e.g. 001 lined or 003 blank) together with the 018 in the leather cover – the thread-sewn booklets fit easily side by side in the Regular cover thanks to their slim thickness.
• Fountain pens and ink-based writing instruments: MD Paper is fountain-pen-friendly. Fine to medium-width nibs run precisely on the slightly textured surface; wider nibs or heavily-flowing inks may occasionally cause light shadowing – no bleed-through, but the reverse side may show with very wet inks, so a test is recommended.
• Handwriting dates: Entering your own dates and weekdays is part of the Traveler's ritual. With a thin fineliner or fine nib, dates and calendar weeks can be quickly transferred to the headers.
• Annual planning with two refills: Since one booklet covers 28 weeks, both halves of the year can be archived as separate booklets or used one after the other in the cover.

The vertical weekly format of the 018 works with a timeline that runs across both pages: left side the first week half, right side the second. All seven columns are equal width – a design decision that was handled differently in an earlier version of the booklet (weekends received less space). The current layout treats all days equally, making it practical for freelancers, creatives and anyone with irregular weekly rhythms. The MD Paper is acid-free and therefore suitable for long-term archiving – refills can be permanently stored in the Traveler's binder (Refill #010).
