The Repair Kit "010" from Traveler's Company contains everything that keeps the Traveler's Notebook in shape over the years – or gives it a new character through a color change. The set includes 8 closure rubber bands in various colors, two waxed bookmark ribbons in black and brown, as well as a small tin seal. The seal is the crucial connecting piece: it secures the elastic band in the leather spine – with minimal tools, just a hammer is needed.

• 8 closure rubber bands in various colors: Each band is 1 m long – sufficient for the external closure band of the cover or the internal holding bands for the refills. One meter can also be used for two shorter sections if desired.
• Two bookmark ribbons (black & brown): 40 cm each, made from waxed yarn – narrow enough not to interfere when turning pages, grippy enough to reliably mark pages.
• Tin seal included: The small metal part holds the rubber band and bookmark ribbon together in the spine of the cover. Sealing works with a simple hammer – no special pliers or tool set needed.

Application & Tips

• Replace closure band: The outer rubber that holds the cover together is subject to the most stress – it stretches over time. A new band from the kit restores the original tension.
• Exchange inner bands: The bands that hold refills on the inside can also be replaced from the same set. With multiple booklets in the cover, a fresh, snug-fitting band is worthwhile.
• Try color combinations: If you own multiple kits, you can combine the closure band and inner band in different colors – only the closure band visible from the outside, the inner band as a personal detail.
• Add bookmark ribbons: The 40 cm long ribbons fit as additional bookmarks in the spine – next to the existing one. Especially with a thicker refill setup, a second ribbon for different sections is worthwhile.
• Step-by-step: Thread the rubber band from the inside through the holes in the cover, guide it together with the bookmark ribbon through the two openings of the seal, tie it once and insert it – then cut off the protruding ends.

Each rubber band in the set is 1 m long; this corresponds to approximately one and a half times the required measure for a Regular cover, leaving room for adjustments or a second attempt.
