The Ohto GS01 Grand Standard 01 is a sleek aluminum ballpoint pen from Japan — precisely crafted, pleasantly cool to the touch, with a push mechanism at the upper shaft end that keeps the silhouette completely round. The anodized aluminum body feels cool and smooth in the hand, with the push mechanism positioned at the top end of the pen. It comes with the Ohto Soft Ink refill PS-107NP in black, 0.7 mm – an oil-based refill with pronounced flow characteristics.

• Office work & note-taking: The Soft Ink refill writes reliably on both smooth and slightly textured paper – no warm-up needed, no skipping on the first stroke.
• Use writing angle consciously: The line width of the oil-based refill responds to angle and pressure. A shallower angle and light pressure produce a finer line; stronger pressure and steeper angle create a richer, broader stroke.
• Change G2 refill: Those who prefer quick-drying ink – such as for left-handers or coated paper – can use a suitable oil-based G2 large-capacity refill. The refill can be changed without tools.
• Combination with notebooks: On smooth, calendered paper, the Soft Ink refill shows its flow characteristics most clearly – the stroke appears soft and rich without smudging.
