- Screen-printed on black: The Luffy illustration is from the cover of ONE PIECE magazine Vol. 14, drawn by Eiichiro Oda himself – the print is sharp and vibrant against the black polyester fabric.
- Red edge stitching & two red ribbon bookmarks: One bookmark with a triangle charm, one with a rectangle charm – both in red, matching the edge stitching. Mark two places simultaneously, such as monthly calendar and daily page.

Use & Tips
- Compatible books (A6): Hobonichi Techo Planner (EN, 1 day per page), Original (JP/EN, 1 day per page), Original Avec (two half-yearly volumes) and Day-Free A6 – all fit without adapters.
- Breaking in the pen loops: The loops are tight at first. Rolling them between your fingers before first use noticeably speeds up the break-in process. Pens with textured grip zones may be harder to remove.
- Cover-on-cover: Transparent protective films for A6 covers (Cover on Cover) can be placed over this cover – this provides additional protection for the screen print against wear.
- Using the pockets: The slip pockets on the left and right hold cards, stickers, tickets or folded notes. The quote printed on the right pocket always remains visible.
- 180° opening: The cover lies completely flat – due to the construction, the outer seam area may ripple slightly. This is not a defect, but an inherent characteristic of all Hobonichi polyester covers.
For Hobonichi & Manga Enthusiasts
The screen-printing process (serigraphy) prints each colour separately through a fabric screen directly onto the polyester – this gives the illustration a tactile, textured quality rather than the smooth finish of digital printing. Because the fabric is printed first and only then cut and sewn, patterns may be slightly misaligned in the seam area or between pocket and main surface. This is not a quality issue, but a characteristic of handcrafted small-batch production from Japan. Those familiar with multiple ONE PIECE Hobonichi covers will notice that the black tone and saturation of the red accent are particularly deep and high-contrast – the result of combining white base fabric that is first dyed black and then printed.
