Kaweco Rollerball Sport AL Anthracite

The Kaweco AL Sport Gel Roller in Anthracite is an aluminium writing instrument in the classic Sport format – compact enough for a shirt pocket, with enough weight in hand to make even longer writing sessions comfortable. The body is made from CNC-machined, anodised aluminium with a silky-gloss finish in warm dark grey that feels cool and metallic to the touch. Inside, a gel refill with ceramic ball in G2 format does the work, 0.7 mm line width, black – smooth-running, with even ink flow on paper.

• Aluminium screw cap: The threads are metal-on-metal – precise fit, no wobble. The octagonal cap shape follows Kaweco's historic profile and ensures a secure grip when screwing on.
• Postable design: Closed, the gel roller measures 10.5 cm – pocket-friendly. With the cap posted, it grows to 13 cm and sits perfectly balanced in hand.
• G2-compatible refill standard: The gel roller accepts all G2-format refills – alongside original Kaweco refills (0.7 mm, black and blue) this includes many third-party options, such as quick-drying variants or finer widths.
• Weight and balance: At approximately 23 g, the weight sits between the lightweight plastic Sport and the considerably heavier brass Sport – well-balanced for pocket and desk.
• Hand-assembled in Nuremberg: Every pen is assembled by hand and individually inspected.

• Everyday carry: The AL Sport fits into any shirt or trouser pocket. The screw cap protects the refill securely – no accidental clicking or leaking in your rucksack.
• With a notebook: An optional clip – Kaweco Sport Octagonal Clip, available separately – can be added and clamps the pen to your notebook or bag.
• Refill replacement: The gel refill is easy to swap out. If you prefer a quick-drying gel refill in G2 format, simply insert it – ideal for left-handers or when writing on coated paper.
• Paper recommendation: The ceramic ball performs most evenly on smooth, calendered paper. On rough paper, the writing may become slightly uneven.
• Care: The anodised aluminium surface can be wiped clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents – the anodised layer is durable but not resistant to solvents.
