TSUKI no IRO – meaning "moon colours" – is a Hobonichi stationery series that translates the 12 soft monthly colours of the Techo into clear, functional designs. The sticker set (Schedule) contains five sheets with different motifs: pre-printed text stickers, writable frame stickers, shapes and two sheets of planning icons. The matte finish accepts ballpoint ink and similar writing instruments without difficulty, so every sticker can be individually labelled.
Features
- Text stickers with pre-printed labels: Terms such as LUNCH or HAPPY BIRTHDAY are already printed – ready to use without having to write anything yourself.
- Frame stickers (EVENT / IMPORTANT): The larger frames fit precisely into the monthly grid of the Techo Original; used vertically they work equally well in the Techo Weeks.
- Margin stickers for marginal notes: Narrower frames fit into the page margins of daily and monthly pages – ideal for brief margin notes or personal messages.
- Shapes: triangles, circles, ribbons, brackets: Mark individual important days or span multiple-day events such as trips.
- Two icon sheets: Gifts, food, smileys, aeroplanes and other motifs enable quick visual overview; arranged along the left edge of the monthly page, the entire month reads at a glance.
- Matte, writable surface: Ballpoint ink grips reliably, so supplementary information can be noted directly on the sticker.
- Layering-friendly: The stickers can be layered without the combination looking chaotic – the harmoniously coordinated colour palette holds the layout together.
- Total quantity: 262 stickers on five sheets.
Use & Tips
- Place frame stickers (EVENT / IMPORTANT) in the monthly grid of the Techo Original: The dimensions are precisely matched, the sticker fills one day field without overlapping.
- Align icon stickers left-aligned to the vertical line of the monthly page – this creates a categorised weekly overview at a glance: travel, food, appointments, birthdays.
- Combine frame with icon: First attach the frame, then place the matching icon sticker next to it – and label the remaining space in the frame with details.
- Use narrow frames in bullet journal spreads as callout boxes: placed at the side of the page, add pen and note inside.
- Use shapes such as brackets or lines for multi-day blocks (holiday, project phases) across several day fields – works in both monthly and weekly views.
- Use text stickers on cards or envelopes as a seal or decorative element – the series is suitable beyond the planner for gift wrapping and post.
For Techo Enthusiasts
The 12 colours of the Hobonichi Techo are not chosen arbitrarily: each monthly colour accompanies the corresponding pages in the book as a subtle colour accent in grids, dividing lines and page headers. The TSUKI no IRO series picks up this exact palette – with the result that stickers on the page do not appear as foreign objects, but fit into the existing colour system. If you use multiple Techo models in parallel (Original, Cousin, Weeks), you can use the same stickers across formats: the frame stickers are dimensionally calibrated for the A6 Original, but also work vertically in the narrower Weeks format.
