Hobonichi Cover Colors: Fresh Citron (A6)

The Hobonichi Cover Colors in Fresh Citron is a protective case for the Hobonichi Techo Original in A6 format. The crisp, bright citron yellow looks fresh and lively – a colour that immediately catches the eye on your desk and lifts your mood. The polyester outer material has a subtle, silky sheen and sits snugly while remaining surprisingly light in hand. The inner notebook itself is sold separately and simply wraps inside.

Features

• Butterfly-stopper pen holders: The characteristic loop pen holders act as a closure at the same time – insert a pen and the case stays securely closed. The inner diameter accommodates pens up to 13.5 mm; standard roller balls and ballpoints slip through with ease.
• Two bookmarks with charms: A rectangular and a triangular charm let you mark two spots simultaneously – such as the monthly calendar and the current day's page.
• Polyester exterior and interior material: The all-polyester construction gives the case its streamlined silhouette, just 3 mm thin and weighing around 100 g – light enough for your bag, robust enough for daily use.
• Fresh Citron – a two-tone colour combination: The Colors series deliberately features different exterior and interior colours, so each opening reveals a different colour experience. Fresh Citron plays with the contrast between the fresh yellow-green outside and the contrasting interior lining.
• Compatible with Cover on Cover: The case is designed for the transparent protective film "Cover on Cover", sold separately, which offers space for postcards, photos and stickers.

Use & Tips

• Compatible notebooks: The case fits all A6 Techo inner books – Original, Avec (both half-year volumes inserted separately), Planner and Day-Free. Spine widths up to approximately 12.7 mm fit comfortably; slightly thicker books sit more snugly.
• Breaking in the pen holders: The butterfly-stopper loops are stiff initially. Rolling them between your palms a few times softens them and makes inserting and removing the pen considerably easier.
• Storage: Polyester is sensitive to prolonged moisture and heat. Avoid storing the case permanently under other objects, as the colour material may suffer.
• Colour coordination: The crisp citron yellow-green pairs well with green, white and neutral accessories – such as an olive-coloured pen case or a natural-toned carry pouch. If you wish, you can swap the Cover on Cover with the seasons and change the character of the case without switching the case itself.
• Personalisation: You can slip postcards, printed patterns or handwritten note sheets between the case and the Cover on Cover – visible through the transparent film.

For Techo Enthusiasts

The Colors series is one of the longest-running lines in the Hobonichi range. Both the outer and inner fabrics are made from the same robust polyester weave, which is first dyed or printed and then sewn onto the case structure. This process can result in minimal colour variations between individual pieces – not a flaw, but a characteristic of the manufacturing method. The 180° flat opening of the case is by design: the outer seams may open slightly, and the inner lining may have some play – this does not affect function. If you carry your Techo as a daily companion, you'll come to appreciate the streamlined 3 mm thickness combined with a sturdy structure in everyday use.
