Hobonichi Cover Folio: Ocean Blue (A6)
The Hobonichi Cover Folio in Ocean Blue is a flip-open protective sleeve for the Hobonichi Techo A6 Original and Planner. The vibrant, clear blue – fresh as open water in summer – features cotton on both the outside and inside with a velvety surface. As a pure sleeve without a sewn-in book, it can be combined with a new Techo block every year.
Highlights
- Ocean Blue Color: A rich, medium-deep blue that shows clear intensity in daylight without appearing garish. The cotton surface absorbs light evenly and gives the tone a calm, water-blue warmth.
- 180° Flat Opening: The binding opens completely flat – the inserted Techo block lies flush on the desk while writing, without flipping open or springing back.
- Lightweight and Practical: Polyester is dimensionally stable, dirt-resistant, and withstands daily use in bags or backpacks without noticeably adding weight.
- Compatibility: Fits Hobonichi Techo Original A6 and Hobonichi Techo Planner A6 (books sold separately).
Application & Tips
- Annual Book Block Replacement: The Techo block can be removed and replaced in seconds. The cover stays; only the contents change – perfect for those who want their yearly Techo accompanied by a cover from a previous year.
For Techo Enthusiasts
The Cover Folio follows the classic Hobonichi principle: sleeve and book block are intentionally separate. Those who collect multiple covers and switch them according to mood, season, or project appreciate the consistently simple insertion mechanism – no closures, no velcro, no snap buttons. Ocean Blue is a color that doesn't appear oversaturated over the years: bold enough to be immediately recognizable on the shelf, calm enough to be held in your hand daily.
