The Hobonichi Cover POTR: Stride in Peacock Blue is an A6-format Techo cover, developed in collaboration with POTR – a lifestyle brand by Yoshida & Co. built on decades of Japanese craftsmanship. The outer material is soft, bonded nylon with a matte finish: pleasant to grip whilst durable enough for daily use. The rich Peacock Blue – a deep, luminous blue-green – gives the cover a distinctive colour character that sets it apart from neutral everyday companions.

- Bonded Nylon Outer Material: Yoshida & Co.'s characteristic bonding process densifies the nylon into a smooth, subtly textured surface – dimensionally stable yet flexible enough to slide the book in and out effortlessly.

- Fits A6 Techo books with a spine of up to approximately 13 mm; thicker books can also be accommodated, though they sit somewhat snugly.
Use & Tips
- Daily Use: The matte nylon surface shows no fingerprints and barely shows minor scratches – ideal for a cover that's pulled from your bag daily.
- Pen Selection: The pen holder is designed for slim pens. For thinner pens (e.g. 0.3–0.5 mm fineliners or slim ballpoints) it sits securely in the clip; thicker nibs or broad fountain pens are best threaded through the clip.
- Colour Care: Nylon can transfer colour to other materials when wet – particularly caution is advised with light leather or light textiles in the same bag. Keeping it dry preserves colour vibrancy.
- Pairing with Tomoe River Paper: The cover pairs perfectly with the Hobonichi Techo Original featuring Tomoe River paper – its thinness (approximately 52 g/m²) keeps the finished book so compact that extra materials (cards, notepads) fit without problem.
- Cover Without Book: The cover is supplied without a Techo book. The A6 Original book is available separately.

POTR stands for "Porter" and is the lifestyle label of Yoshida & Co. – the same manufactory renowned for decades for its bonding technique with nylon textiles. The bonding process laminates nylon layers under heat and pressure, which seals the surface: the fabric won't fray at the edges, moisture beads off the surface, and the matte feel is retained throughout its lifespan. All Hobonichi POTR covers are hand-assembled in Japan – seams, zip pulls and hardware are individually inspected. This accounts for the price point and the occasional minimal variations from piece to piece, which are inherent to handcrafted textile products from this production process.
