The TSUKI no IRO Transparent Sticky Notes (Tiles) capture the twelve soft colors that run through the Hobonichi Techo Original – month after month, page after page. Each tile is precisely cut to the width of the fields in the Techo Original's monthly calendar, so it fits flush without disrupting the view of the page. The material is transparent PET: lightly tinted, semi-transparent, smooth to the touch – underlying entries remain visible.

Features

  • Perfectly sized for the monthly calendar: The tiles are exactly matched to the field width of the Hobonichi Techo Original – no overlap, no cutting required. Also compatible with Cousin and Weeks.
  • Transparent PET material: The semi-transparent film adheres cleanly to the page without completely obscuring underlying text. Preliminary entries remain readable as long as the tile is stuck.
  • 12 colors by month: The set includes all twelve tones from the TSUKI no IRO palette – the same colors the Techo uses monthly as its accent color. This allows tiles to be color-coded to each month.
  • 15 sheets per color: 180 tiles total – enough supply for a full planning year with room to reposition and restructure.
  • Removable and repositionable: Tiles can be removed and reapplied elsewhere – ideal for scheduling that may change.
  • Compact transport format: The set measures 159 × 112 × 4 mm and weighs only 18 g – fits flat in the outer pocket of a Techo case.

Application & Tips

  • Mark preliminary appointments: Write appointments first with pencil or ballpoint pen on a tile and stick it in the monthly field – you can easily reposition it if changes occur without leaving eraser marks on the Techo's Tomoe River paper.
  • Color codes for categories: Each of the twelve colors can be assigned to a category – work, personal, sports, travel. The monthly calendar quickly shows a structured picture of the week at a glance.
  • Page markers: Applied as flags protruding from the sides of daily or note pages, the tiles also function as tabs for quickly finding content.
  • Writing instruments on PET: Pencils, ballpoint pens, and waterproof permanent markers write most reliably on the smooth PET surface. Oil-based ballpoint pens also dry well. Fountain pen ink and water-based gel pens may smudge on the film – best to test briefly first.
  • Use the monthly color intentionally: Matching the tile color to the respective monthly color of the Techo creates visually calm, cohesive page design without extra effort.

For Techo Enthusiasts

The TSUKI no IRO series is fundamentally a color system: the twelve monthly tones of the Hobonichi Techo are translated into accessories as a consistent design principle. The tile variant of the Transparent Sticky Notes differs from other formats in the series through its exact field fit – it's not approximately fitted, but tailored to the 3.45 mm grid structure of the Original's monthly calendar pages. The transparent PET lets the Techo's characteristic Tomoe River paper remain visible: the page changes in tone but remains legible. By combining multiple TSUKI no IRO products – such as the dot stickers and this tile set in the same color – you can build a consistent, modular color system across monthly and daily pages.
