This triple-fold cover for the Hobonichi Techo Cousin (A5) combines soft nylon in a muted moss green with leather accents – a tone that is neither loud nor colourless, but calm and present. The entire construction is hand-stitched, which includes minimal manufacturing tolerances.

- Fits Hobonichi Techo Cousin (A5): The cover is tailored to the Cousin's book format and securely holds the bookblock. Not compatible with the Hobonichi Cover on Cover.
- Fountain pen recommendation: Pens with slimmer barrels (e.g. TWSBI Eco, Eco-T or comparable slim models) sit securely in the pen holder. Very voluminous grip sections may fit snugly – it's worth testing.
- Filling the pocket: The gusset pocket accommodates thicker pens (fibre-tip markers, retractable rollers). If you carry many tools, you can use the pocket as a compact pen case without carrying a separate bag.
- Care: Nylon can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth. Treat the leather on the zip pull occasionally with a neutral leather care product to maintain suppleness.

According to Hobonichi, the Tragen cover was developed through repeated testing of various closure and fold concepts – elastic bands, half folds – before the triple-fold structure with concealed magnet struck the right balance between stability and weight. The pocket design with gusset is deliberately dimensioned so it doesn't deform when completely filled: the pocket expands outward without changing the silhouette of the closed cover.
