The greeting card "Hooray Monster 2" by Studio Flash is a single card in C6 format, printed on 470 g heavy cotton paper using a traditional letterpress machine in Belgium. The motif – a jubilant monster – bears the typical character of the Belgian family business: humorous, direct, with visible craftsmanship. The red envelope is already included in the delivery.

Special Features

• Letterpress printing on 470 g cotton paper: The printing form is pressed directly into the paper with pressure, leaving a tactilely perceptible indentation in the motif. Cotton paper with its soft, voluminous fibers absorbs this embossing particularly deeply and cleanly – the result is both visible and tactile to the touch.
• Velvety-soft feel: 470 g cotton paper has an uncoated, slightly textured surface – warm, soft, almost fabric-like. Not a smooth, cool machine cardboard feel, but something noticeably substantial.
• Handcrafted individual production: Since the letterpress process is labor-intensive and manual, each card can vary minimally in color tone and embossing depth – this is not a flaw, but the hallmark of genuine handwork.

Application & Tips

• For celebrating without a specific occasion: "Hooray" works for birthdays, congratulations, achievements, exams – whenever cheering is appropriate, but the framework should remain playful.
• Write with fountain pen or fine-liner: The uncoated cotton surface absorbs ink slightly – for fountain pens with fine to medium-width nibs and water-based ink, a brief drying time is recommended. Pigment ink and fine-liners work very well. Gel rollers with quick-drying cartridges are also easy to use.
• As an enclosure with a gift: The C6 format can easily be wrapped in gift paper or tied to packaging – the red envelope looks visually impressive while doing so.

Studio Flash prints in Lokeren (Belgium) on a traditional letterpress machine – a Heidelberg platen press type, as it has been used for decades for handcrafted small runs. The 470 g cotton paper is significantly above the minimum weight of 300 g typical for letterpress: the higher weight combined with the large cotton volume allows for deeper impressions of the motif and more intense color contrasts, as the soft fibers absorb more ink from the printing form. Since only one color can be processed per print run, each multicolor motif requires multiple passes – making the card's color vibrancy a handcrafted achievement.
