The Bauhaus movement was founded in 1919 by German architect Walter Gropius. A school of ideas, experimenting in applied arts, design, architecture and educational methods. It was famous for the approach to design that it publicised and taught. The German term Bauhaus means ‘building a house’ was also known as ‘School of Building’
