Hobonichi Translucent Sticky Notes Refill

Transparent adhesive notes made of polypropylene, precisely tailored to the 3.7 mm grid of the Hobonichi Techo Original and Techo Cousin. The set contains 189 semi-transparent film strips in nine color-size combinations – slim enough to fit in the cover pocket, and versatile enough to function both as a marking flag and as a writable notepad. Thanks to the transparency, the grid and any text already entered underneath remain readable.

Application & Tips

• Narrow strips (1.9 × 0.5 cm and 3.2 × 0.5 cm) are ideal as day markers on the monthly overview or as colored dividing lines between entries.
• Medium formats (1.9 × 1.1 cm and 3.2 × 1.1 cm) provide enough space for short keywords with pencil or ballpoint pen – gel ink can smudge on the smooth PP surface, so pencil or oil-based ink is preferred.
• The largest strip (3.2 × 2.2 cm) covers exactly one weekday block on the daily page of the Techo Cousin and is ideal as a temporary notepad for changeable appointments.
• Adhesive notes can be removed without residue and repositioned elsewhere – practical for rescheduling appointments or restructuring in the planner.
• The different colors (light blue, light green, pink, yellow, orange) can be used as a color code for categories (work, personal, health, etc.).
• The flat set can be transported in the cover pocket of a Hobonichi cover and is always at hand.

For Techo Enthusiasts

The format logic of the set consistently follows the 3.7 mm grid of the Techo Original and Techo Cousin: 0.5 cm corresponds to one grid stripe, 1.1 cm equals three boxes, 2.2 cm equals six boxes. If you use the Techo Planner, note that its grid division differs – the strips will not sit flush there. The material polypropylene (PP) is dimensionally stable and does not absorb ink, which on the one hand makes removal easier, but on the other hand restricts the choice of writing instruments: Pencil adheres due to slight surface roughness, permanent marker dries on, water-based inks and most gel inks, however, bead off.
