Hobonichi Unforgettable Day Stickers: Heavenly Sweets
The Hobonichi Unforgettable Day Stickers 'Heavenly Sweets' are a 26-piece sticker set designed by illustrator Nutoguran for Hobonichi. Pastel and neon tones meet shimmering mother-of-pearl accents – the result is soft, subtly sparkling motifs centred around the theme of heavenly sweets. The set combines four types of stickers in paper and PET on a compact sheet (187 × 94 mm) that fits neatly into any Techo cover pocket.
Features
- 12 designs, 26 stickers: Four frame stickers (2 designs × 2 pieces) frame entries or small notes and highlight them visually.
- Eight line stickers (2 designs × 4 pieces) can be freely combined to structure pages or create decorative dividing lines.
- Twelve motif stickers (6 designs × 2 pieces) featuring Nutoguran's dessert illustrations – sweets, ice cream cones and other playful motifs in candy colours.
- Two large hologram stickers (square and heart shape) made from transparent PET with a sparkling hologram effect – perfect as a bright accent over a date or special entry.
- Transparent edges: The cut-out edges of the PET stickers blend seamlessly into the paper, allowing motifs to overlap or layer collage-style without obscuring the text beneath.
- Colour palette: Soft pastels with neon accents and mother-of-pearl shimmer – the motifs work beautifully on both the cream-coloured Tomoe River S paper of the Techo and on white journal paper.
Use & Tips
- Birthdays, anniversaries, firsts: Place the square or heart-shaped hologram sticker directly on the date – the page instantly sparkles like a marked event.
- Frames for highlight entries: Stick frame stickers around a particularly important daily entry or margin note without covering the text – the transparent edge remains invisible.
- Lines as page structure: Alternate between two different line designs to divide weekly or monthly pages into sections; also works as underlining for individual dates.
- Layering with motif stickers: Place small dessert motifs over photos, tickets or pasted memories – the transparent backing sheet keeps everything beneath visible.
- Compatible with: Hobonichi Techo Original (A6), Cousin (A5), Weeks, Weekly Calendar and other planner and bullet journal formats with smooth paper.
- Storage: The flat sheet (2 mm thick) fits into the inner pocket of most Techo covers and is within easy reach for daily use.
For Journaling Enthusiasts
Nutoguran's illustration style thrives on the tension between sugar-sweet playfulness and a hint of surrealism – motifs that feel as though they come from a confectioner's dream. The combination of paper and PET backing materials within a single set is a deliberate design choice: paper stickers feel more matte and organic, and are easier to write over with pens, whilst the PET versions with hologram foil and transparent edges provide purely decorative light accents. If you work in your Techo with multiple pen types – such as fine liners for lettering and broader markers for layouts – you can use both materials according to their properties.
