MT Masking Tape "Flag" by Kamoi MT is a washi paper tape with a colourful bunting motif – vibrant, light and featuring the characteristic silk-matte, gently textured surface of Japanese washi paper. MT (Kamoi Kakoshi) is one of Japan's oldest specialist tape manufacturers and produces its washi tapes in Kurashiki. The carrier material is genuine washi – paper made from long plant fibres, which is more tear-resistant than standard paper tapes yet still tears cleanly by hand. The slight transparency is not a printing effect but a natural property of washi paper itself: the fibres are loosely woven enough to let light pass through. The Flag motif belongs to the MT EX series, which is characterised by more elaborate illustrations with multiple colours and fine lines – a different printing process than the single-colour MT base rolls.
