Hobonichi Pencil Board - ice gray x yellow A6

The Hobonichi writing pad in ice grey and yellow is an ultra-thin synthetic plastic sheet made from Yupo paper, precision-cut to fit the A6 Techo Original. Placed under the current page, it provides a consistently firm writing surface – even when the planner has become slightly uneven from inserts and multiple pages. One side features a 5 mm grid pattern, the other has a millimetre scale with ruler markings. The "Today" tab extends beyond the planner's edge and marks the current page without searching.

Use & Tips

• Simply slide the pad under the current double page – the "Today" tab then points upwards out of the planner and makes opening to today's page a one-handed task
• Techo users who write with fine ballpoint nibs or fineliner tips benefit especially: the firm pad prevents pressure marks from embossing the Tomoe River pages underneath
• The 5 mm grid on the front helps with precise layouts for weekly spreads, tracker boxes or mini sketches – simply let the pattern show through the thin paper
• The millimetre scale on the back replaces a ruler when measuring tape strips, stickers or divisions
• If you've already filled the inside cover with maps, photos or note tabs, place the pad directly between the pages instead – the pad evens out any irregularities
• The smooth Yupo surface can be wiped clean with a dry cloth if any ink residue or pencil marks end up on it

For Techo Enthusiasts

Yupo is a carrier-free synthetic paper made from polypropylene – dimensionally stable, water-resistant and highly form-stable. In this application, that means: the pad won't bend even after years of daily use and maintains its perfectly flat surface. If you write in your Techo with a fountain pen, note that ink doesn't absorb into Yupo – any accidental ink marks on the pad can be wiped away before they dry.
