Kaweco Ballpoint Pen Sport White

The Kaweco Sport ballpoint in white is the classic pocket companion with the timeless design of the 1930s. The distinctive octagonal plastic barrel fits surprisingly comfortably in the hand despite its compact form – the flat edges provide grip without pressure. With the cap posted on, the pen extends to a comfortable 13 cm and is ready for longer writing sessions. Made in Germany.

• Postable design: Just 10.5 cm when closed, extending to 13 cm with the cap posted – the classic "post" concept that has defined the Sport for over 90 years.
• D1 refill system: The Kaweco Sport ballpoint uses a short D1 refill. The ink paste flows smoothly and evenly; the line width of the included refill is 1.0 mm. D1 refills are available in various colours and line widths (0.8 mm / 1.0 mm / 1.2 mm) and are simple to change.
• Lightweight: At around 12 g, the pen disappears into any trouser or shirt pocket without weighing you down.
• Made in Germany: Assembly and quality control take place in Nuremberg.

Use & Tips

• Writing on the go: The combination of compact transport size and full writing length with the cap posted makes the Sport the ideal note-taking pen for your bag, notebook band or case.
• Changing the refill: Remove the cap, pull out the refill and insert a new D1 refill – no tools, no screws. D1 refills are a standardised format; alongside genuine Kaweco refills, refills from other manufacturers in D1 format will also fit.
• Paper choice: The oil-based ballpoint paste works reliably on almost any paper – from smooth, calendered stock to lightly textured notebooks. On very smooth paper, the ink flows particularly evenly.
• Colour coordination: The pure white of the barrel complements both gold and silver-coloured accessories and can be personalised with an optional Kaweco clip in your chosen colour – the clip is sold separately and simply slides onto the cap.
• Document permanence: The included ballpoint refill is not archival-grade. For permanent records, we recommend a refill specifically marked as archive-safe.

The Classic Sport design dates back to 1935 and has hardly changed in its basic proportions since then. The heart-curve mechanism – realised in this model as a slip cap rather than a push mechanism – is the simplest and most robust opening system in the Sport family. If you know and appreciate the form, you can easily switch between plastic, aluminium and brass barrels within the Sport range without having to adjust to a new geometry. All Sport ballpoints use the same D1 refill system.
