Kaweco "Sport" rollerball white

The Kaweco Sport gel roller in white follows the housing design from 1935 – octagonal cross-section, screw cap, compact form made from ABS plastic. Closed, it measures 10.5 cm; with cap attached, 13.5 cm. The gel refill with ceramic ball transfers ink smoothly and continuously onto paper. Made in Germany.

Features

• Screw cap: Closes firmly and securely – no accidental opening in your pocket, no smudged refill in the case.
• Cap attachment extends the pen: Closed at 10.5 cm for your trouser pocket, with cap attached 13.5 cm – your hand then holds a full writing length.
• Ceramic ball in the gel refill: Ceramic is harder and smoother than metal; the ball rolls evenly and leaves a clean, consistent line without scratching or skipping.
• 0.7 mm gel refill: Finer than many standard ballpoints, but wider than a fineliner refill – for legible handwriting with visible ink colour.
• White ABS housing: The matte, smooth plastic surface feels cool and light in your hand; the white shows ink marks visibly, but works well for labelling or personalisation with permanent marker.
• Not archival: The included black gel refill is water-based and not archival – unsuitable for archive purposes.

Use & Tips

• Paper choice: The ceramic ball rolls particularly smoothly on smooth, calendered paper; on rough or absorbent paper, the ink can sink in more and the line appears darker.
• Drying time: Gel ink dries slightly slower than oil-based ballpoint ink – on heavily coated paper, wait a moment before wiping quickly when writing.
• Left-handers: The 0.7 mm gel refill releases relatively little ink at once; on smooth paper, the writing smudges less when writing quickly than with wider roller refills.
• Refill replacement: The Kaweco Sport gel roller is compatible with standard G2-format gel roller cartridges as well as Kaweco's own replacement refills in black and blue (0.7 mm) – simply unscrew the cap at the rear of the housing to change the refill.
• Clip upgrade: The Sport is supplied without a clip; a Kaweco Sport clip can be separately clipped on if you want to attach it to a shirt pocket or notebook cover.
