Kaweco Mechanical Pencil Sport Fox (0.7 mm)

The Kaweco Sport mechanical pencil in Fox showcases a warm reddish-brown hue, created from a blend of red and orange pigments – rich but not garish. The compact plastic barrel follows the classic octagonal shape of the Sport design, which traces its origin back to 1935. At 11.5 cm long, it slips effortlessly into a shirt pocket and sits surprisingly comfortably in the hand – the eight facets provide precise grip control without pressure.

Features

• Fox colour: A warm, rich reddish-brown from a blend of red and orange pigments – the barrel appears more earthy or vibrant depending on the light.
• Octagonal shape: The distinctive form of the Sport series rests securely between your fingers and won't roll off the desk – handy when you need to set it down quickly.
• 0.7 mm push mechanism: The 0.7 mm lead is more robust than thinner gauges and rarely breaks during brisk writing and sketching. One button press advances the lead precisely.
• Retractable lead: The lead tip retracts fully into the barrel – no need to hunt for a cap, pocket-safe from the start.
• Compact format: At 11.5 cm long, the Sport belongs to the category of true pocket pencils – no shortening needed, no separate case required.
• Made in Germany: Assembly and manufacture in Nuremberg, where Kaweco has been producing for decades.

Use & Tips

• Sketching and writing on the go: The 0.7 mm lead is ideal for consistent lines when sketching, taking notes and layout work – wide enough for fluid strokes, fine enough for legible small text.
• Choose your lead hardness: Kaweco leads in HB suit all common writing situations; for soft, expressive sketch lines, softer grades (B, 2B) are worth considering – these also fit the 0.7 mm system.
• Retrofit with a clip: The Kaweco Sport clip can be attached afterwards, turning the pencil into a reliable shirt-pocket companion.
• Pair with a notebook: On smooth, calendered paper the graphite lead writes evenly and smudges cleanly; on lightly textured papers you get grainier, livelier lines.
• Spare leads: Kaweco 0.7 mm mechanical pencil leads are compatible and available separately – keeping a supply in your pocket keeps your pencil always ready to use.
