Palomino Pencil Blackwing matte green (12 pcs)
Blackwing pencils are ideal for illustrators and authors who prefer a soft, dark line. With their matt green finish, these pencils have a distinctly retro look. The unique rectangular eraser can be extended as it wears through use and can be pulled out completely from the pencil body for replacement. The eraser is latex-free and replacement erasers are available in a variety of colours. Blackwing pencils are distinguished by the softness of the graphite core, which can be felt when writing and drawing. These pencils have a soft core that leaves a smooth, dark line.
With roots in the 1930s, the pencil once developed by Eberhard Faber was discontinued in 1998. After many requests from a wide variety of artists, Palomino finally resumed production in 2010.
Note: For careful sharpening with an unusually flat angle, we recommend the KUM ‘Long Point’ pencil sharpener.
