The Postalco Snap Pad A6 in Faded Black is a refillable clipboard in pocket format, with a mechanism that is as straightforward as it is clever: two metal press studs secure doubly-punched sheets firmly in place. The cover is made from Pressed Cotton – a compressed cotton fabric produced on the same machinery once used for tent cloth. The Faded Black colour displays a matte, slightly washed black tone from the start; with use, the natural colour of the white base fibres becomes more prominent, and the fabric grows softer – the material visibly develops character.

According to Postalco, the idea behind the Snap Pad came about by chance: designer Mike Abelson was playing with the press stud on a calendar cover and spontaneously snapped in a punched card – the satisfaction of that moment became the product. The result is a patented system that deliberately imposes no fixed structure. Those experimenting with different paper weights will notice that heavier sheets (for example 90–100 g/m²) put more strain on the snap mechanism, but hold securely nonetheless. The hole spacing matches the 2-hole standard common across Asia and Europe – if you already have paper with this punch pattern, you can use it directly. The Pressed Cotton fabric is the same material Postalco uses for bags: it doesn't fray, keeps edges clean and develops its own patina with use.
