The Snap Pad A6 by Postalco is a refillable clip-binding notebook in pocket format, with a cover made from pressed cotton. Two snap buttons—the namesake snap binding—keep any punched sheets securely in place. The dark blue of the cover is a rich, calm indigo-night blue that becomes lighter and softer over time as the natural coloring of the cotton fibers comes alive through use.

The hole spacing of the snap mechanism corresponds to the standard 2-hole punch commonly used in Asia and Europe—this is no coincidence but a central design decision: the Snap Pad is conceived from the start as an open system that works with any standard office punch. According to Postalco, the idea came about by chance when designer Mike Abelson pressed a snap button on a calendar cover and happened to snap in a punched card lying nearby. The result is a patented binding method that consistently dispenses with ring mechanisms, spirals, and adhesive strips, instead relying on the satisfying tactile feedback of a snapping button.
