Hobonichi Cover Colors: Butterscotch (A6)
The Hobonichi Cover Colors "Powder Blue Shell" is an A6 planner cover made from polyester in a two-tone colour design: cool, pale blue on the outside, delicate shell pink on the inside. The defining feature of this series is the Butterfly Pen Holder – two pen loops that simultaneously serve as the cover's closure. The cover fits the Hobonichi Techo Original and Hobonichi Planner in A6 format.
Features
- Two-tone colour scheme: Powder Blue on the outside – a cool, pale blue with subtle matte finish – and shell pink on the inside, a muted, warm dusty rose. The combination of both tones reveals itself when you open the planner, giving the cover its own character.
- Butterfly Pen Holder: Two pen loops on the front of the cover that secure a pen or thin roll of washi tape whilst simultaneously holding the cover closed – no additional rubber band required.
- Polyester exterior: The smooth, lightly textured polyester surface is easy to care for, doesn't absorb moisture, and retains its colour even after extended use.
- Compatible with Cover on Cover: The cover is sized so that transparent or patterned Cover-on-Cover protective sleeves from Hobonichi can be placed directly over it – for additional personalisation without losing the fit.
- Compact format: Approximately 165 × 244 × 3 mm (without pen loops) – slim enough for a handbag or rucksack pocket without taking up much space.
Use & Tips
- The Butterfly Pen Holder accommodates slim pens, fineliners or brush pens – ideal for those who switch between pens whilst writing and want their current pen within easy reach. Very thin pens can be secured better by wrapping a piece of washi tape around the pen.
- The cover fits the Hobonichi Techo Original (A6) and Hobonichi Planner without any additional accessories. It is not suitable for the Cousin or A5 format.
- To personalise your planner, you can place a Cover on Cover directly over this cover – the butterfly loops remain accessible.
- The shell pink interior is visible when reading and writing: along the edges when the cover is open. If you like colour-coordinated stickers or bookmarks, warm pink and peach tones are excellent companions.
- Polyester can be wiped clean with a slightly damp cloth – ballpoint marks or light dirt usually come off easily.
