Oak pen holder L
A pen holder made from solid oak wood, handcrafted in Poland by Papierniczeni. The surface is treated with natural oil – the wood remains open and lively, showing its pores and grain without disappearing under lacquer. Four indentations hold pens, fountain pens, rulers or other desk utensils within easy reach and organized.
Features
- Solid oak wood: dense, heavy and stable – the holder rests securely on the desk without slipping
- Natural oil treatment: The surface is not sealed, but nourished – the wood remains tactile and develops a silky matte patina over time
- Individual grain: Each piece is unique. Knots, growth rings and color variations differ from holder to holder
- Four compartments side by side: Space for fountain pen, pencil, eraser and ruler – or four favorite pens in different widths
- Handcrafted in Poland
Application & Tips
- Fountain pens with delicate nibs lay flat and secure – no rolling pens, no scratches on the desk
- If you use multiple pens or ink varieties, you can keep them sorted and within reach here: e.g. fine nib on the left, broad nib on the right
- The natural oil can be refreshed if needed – a drop of high-quality wood care oil, massaged in and wiped off, keeps the surface supple
- The compact size (100 × 180 mm) fits next to notebook and ink bottle without taking up much space
- As a mat when filling fountain pens: a small cloth underneath, and the holder protects the desk from ink drops
For Desk Enthusiasts
Oak is one of the hardest domestic hardwoods – Janka hardness around 6,000 N – and is significantly more resistant than beech or pine. The open-pore structure of oak reacts visibly to moisture and light: With time and use, the wood darkens slightly and gains depth. The natural oil treatment instead of a lacquer coating is a deliberate choice – the oil penetrates the wood, protects from within and does not change the tactile character of the surface: rough, warm, lively.
