Hobonichi Index Stickers

The Hobonichi Index Stickers are a set of 42 stickers made from Yupo paper – a synthetic, water-resistant and tear-resistant material specially designed for the Hobonichi Techo planner. The stickers come in print colours matching the Original and Cousin, and are sized to fit the monthly tabs in the Original Techo.

Features

• Monthly calendar index (12 stickers, 1 per month): Numbered 1 to 12 for quick navigation to the monthly overview page – simply stick them to an empty area of the monthly calendar.
• Daily pages index (12 stickers, 1 per month): Perfectly sized to match the coloured tabs on the side margin of the Original – use them to mark the start of the month or dates that matter to you personally.
• Monkey index (6 stickers): Stickers shaped like the Hobonichi monkey mascot – add a playful touch to your planner design.
• Blank index stickers (12 stickers in 12 colours): Blank stickers without printing that can be labelled or used freely – perfect for custom markers, your own systems or spontaneous ideas.
• Yupo paper: This synthetic material resists water and doesn't tear as easily as regular paper. The surface works well with oil-based pens, oil-based markers and pencil.
• Not suitable for: Gel ink pens and water-based pens – the ink won't adhere reliably to Yupo.

Use & Tips

• Apply the monthly calendar stickers to an empty area of the respective month page – this lets you open your planner without turning pages.
• Place the daily pages stickers precisely on the coloured side tabs of the Hobonichi Original to make month changes visible at a glance.
• Write on the blank stickers with an oil-based fineliner or pencil before sticking them in – pencil marks erase well on Yupo.
• Use the monkey stickers for favourite pages, projects or milestones you want to stand out immediately.
• If you prefer your own indexing system – say quarterly or by project – you can use the blank stickers as the basis for a completely custom system.

For Techo Enthusiasts

Yupo isn't paper in the classical sense, but rather a biaxially oriented polypropylene film: no wood fibres, no water absorption, barely any warping when wet. On this surface, pigmented oil-based markers perform exceptionally well because the ink sits on top and doesn't sink in – the result is brilliant, sharp lettering. If you want to write on the blank stickers, use a quality pencil or an oil-based pigment liner – both dry quickly and won't smudge afterwards. Water-based inks – including most fountain pen inks – bead off Yupo or don't adhere reliably.
