Hobonichi Cover Tamagotchi: Tamagotchi Techo Discovered (A6)
The "Tamagotchi Techo Discovered!" cover is a collaboration between Hobonichi and Bandai, created for Tamagotchi's 30th anniversary series. Tamagotchi characters in vibrant colours crowd across the entire cover of this tightly woven white polyester fabric – familiar faces alongside newly introduced characters. The design is printed directly onto the fabric, revealing constant new details up close with its density and colour depth. Compatible with the Hobonichi Techo Original in A6 format.
Features
- Full-surface Tamagotchi motif: Characters in bright colours printed across the entire outer cover – including pixel-art icons like meal, snack, heart and poo from the original Tamagotchi.
- Techotchi – exclusive new character: Hidden amongst the familiar figures is Techotchi, a brand-new character in Techo form with a pink beak as a pen holder and geometric feet – exclusively discoverable on this cover.
- Black interior with hidden details: The interior lining is black; the right card pocket features a cheerful Mametchi, the left pocket displays meal and snack icons with sleeping Kuchipatchi above – and dancing Oyajitchi hides in the bookmark slot.
- Butterfly Pen Holder: Two pen loops securely hold a pen with round to slightly oval cross-section and simultaneously serve as the cover's closure.
- Tightly woven polyester fabric: The material doesn't absorb moisture, wipes clean and dry, and retains its colour brilliance even with daily use.
- Included Tamagotchi stickers: Transparent stickers featuring characters, pixel-art icons and seasonal motifs come with the cover – for freely decorating your Techo pages.
Use & Tips
- The cover fits the Hobonichi Techo Original (A6). The book slides in from the side – the snug fit provides protection without needing an additional closure.
- The Butterfly Pen Holder's pen loops work especially well with slim to medium-weight pens: fine-liners, thin fountain pens or standard-format mechanical pencils fit securely without slipping.
- To protect the design, you can place a transparent cover on cover over it – this keeps the print fresh long-term and adds another layer of Tamagotchi world if you choose a patterned cover on cover.
- The included stickers can be applied to your Techo's daily or monthly pages to mark moods, events or simply your current favourite character.
- The matching Pencil Board "Blast Off to Outer Space!" in A6 format can be placed directly inside this cover and complements the Tamagotchi universe on the interior.
For Hobonichi Enthusiasts
Tamagotchi celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026 – the cover honours this occasion by featuring characters from the original generation (1996) alongside current characters. Mametchi appears in two versions: the classic 1996 design and the updated current design, making the design evolution across three decades readable directly on the cover. Techotchi – the new character in Techo form – is a cover-exclusive character and cannot be found in other Tamagotchi media. The interior lining and bookmark ribbons are deliberately black to frame the colour-intensive exterior print with striking contrast.
