Hobonichi Cover Colors: Chamomile Mint (A5)
The Hobonichi Cover Colors "Chamomile Mint" is an A5 book cover made of polyester – warm ivory on the outside, cool muted mint green on the inside. The colour combination feels like a serene contrast: creamy warmth meets fresh restraint. The integrated butterfly pen holder closes the cover whilst keeping up to two writing instruments within easy reach.
Features
- Two-tone interior and exterior design: The ivory-coloured exterior and mint green lining are deliberately chosen as a contrast – opening the cover creates a noticeable shift in mood. The mint green appears fresh and crisp against the light pages of the Techo paper.
- Butterfly Pen Holder: Two polyester loops on the front and back serve simultaneously as a book closure. Fountain pens, mechanical pencils or a second writing instrument stay securely in place – the cover remains closed without a magnetic clasp or rubber band.
- Polyester exterior material: The fabric is durable against everyday wear, easy to wipe clean and maintains its texture even after prolonged use in a bag or rucksack.
- Perfect fit for the Techo Cousin (A5): The cover sits snugly and precisely around the Cousin – no slipping, no protruding corners.
- Compatible with Cover on Cover: A patterned or transparent Cover on Cover can be placed over the smooth polyester surface without affecting the fit.
Use & Tips
- Writing instruments in the butterfly pen holder: Slimmer fountain pens and fineliners sit snugly in the loops; slightly wider grip sections (such as triangular shafts) require a bit more force initially – however, the polyester stretches over time.
- Cover on Cover over Chamomile Mint: Transparent or semi-transparent Cover on Cover allows the ivory colour to show through as a warm undertone. Patterns appear more muted and harmonious than on white backgrounds.
- Washi tape and stickers: Pressure-sensitive adhesives adhere temporarily to the smooth polyester surface – for permanent decoration, a Cover on Cover is recommended as a carrier to protect the cover itself.
- Cleaning: Light soiling can be wiped away with a slightly damp cloth; the fabric does not deform in the process.
