The Cover on Cover "Colorful Tamagotchi" is a transparent PVC protective sleeve for A5 Hobonichi Techo Cousin covers – thin, lightweight and fully printed with a vibrant pixel-art world full of Tamagotchi characters. The design is the result of a collaboration with Tamagotchi, the digital pocket toy that first appeared in 1996 and continues to be developed today. • Full-coverage pixel-art design: Characters from the original "Tamagotchi" and "New Species Discovered!!" series span the front and back – including Mametchi, Kuchipatchi and Oyajitchi, complemented by iconic imagery such as Kacka, skull, Happiness Meter and Game Result Screen.
• Techotchi – an exclusive character: Developed exclusively for this collaboration: Techotchi, a Tamagotchi that looks like a Hobonichi Techo – with a pink beak that serves as a pen holder and angular geometric feet. Look closely and you'll spot it in the design.
• Transparent PVC material: The clear surface sits over the existing cover and allows its design to show through completely. Postcards or photographs can be slipped between the cover and sleeve – for a personally customised planner front.
• Protection from scuffing and soiling: PVC protects the underlying cover from scratches, stains and everyday wear. The sleeve itself is just 0.8 mm thick and weighs 50 g – barely noticeable in your hand.
• No pocket slot: Intentionally designed without a cutout for the cover's external pocket – so the design on both sides remains complete and clearly visible.
• Compatibility: Fits A5 Techo Cousin covers with "Butterfly Stopper" (e.g. Colors and printed covers). Not suitable for leather or faux-leather sleeves or thick covers without Butterfly Stopper.

Use & Tips

• Layer your covers: The Cover on Cover can be slipped over a simple solid-coloured A5 cover – such as one of the Hobonichi Colors covers. The Tamagotchi design then appears as a vibrant illustration over the base colour of the underlying cover.
• Slip in postcards and photos: The space between the PVC sleeve and cover is perfect as a mini-display: a favourite card, a Polaroid or a printed image transforms the planner exterior into a personal collage.
• Protection for well-worn covers: If you carry your Techo in your bag every day, you'll know about wear marks on the corners and edges. The Cover on Cover absorbs this wear without changing the grip or texture of the original cover.
• Mind the cold: PVC vinyl becomes stiff at low temperatures. In winter, it's advisable to bring the sleeve to room temperature before putting the cover on or taking it off.
• Check the fit: Before fitting, ensure that your chosen cover has Butterfly Stopper pen holders. Leather and faux-leather sleeves as well as very thick covers will not fit this Cover on Cover.

The "Colorful Tamagotchi" print deliberately employs pixel art – the original graphical language of Tamagotchi displays from the 1990s.
