Hobonichi HON Clear Cover A5

The clear protective sleeve for the Hobonichi HON A5 sits as a transparent polyester layer directly over the fixed hardcover binding of the HON. At 0.6 mm material thickness, the book remains slim and handy, while the surface and spine are protected year-round from scratches, dust and wear. The cover itself – whether illustrated, patterned or plain – remains fully visible through the clear sleeve.

Features

• Made-to-measure fit for the HON A5: The sleeve is tailored to the specific dimensions of the Hobonichi HON with hardcover (222 × 332 × 0.6 mm) – no slipping, no overhang.
• Clear polyester film: The material sits smooth and cool, doesn't cloud the cover and barely changes the colour effect of the cover. Unlike softer films, polyester retains its shape even with frequent opening and closing.
• Pocket between sleeve and cover: The gap can be used to slip in postcards, photos or mementos – the cover becomes a small gallery that can be redesigned at any time.
• For HON with hardcover only: The sleeve fits exclusively on the Hobonichi HON A5 with a permanently bound hardcover – not for HON books with interchangeable covers or other Hobonichi formats.
• Not compatible with PVC, leather and faux leather covers: The sleeve can affect the colour or surface of the cover when placed over these materials.

Use & Tips

• Slide photos, small art prints or drawn cards between the cover and clear sleeve – this changes the look of the HON throughout the year without touching the cover itself.
• The sleeve provides excellent protection in bags and rucksacks, where notebooks often rub against keys, pens or rough interior surfaces.
• When putting on the sleeve, briefly open the book – this allows the film to be pulled evenly over the front and back covers without creasing.
• If you carry the HON A5 in a leather or fabric cover, it's better to leave the clear sleeve out: inserting it into covers made of PVC, leather or faux leather can affect the surface of the film or the cover.
