The Alettone cover for the Hobonichi Techo A6 is a tri-fold PVC cover with a press-stud fastener. Soft, subtly textured PVC in muted olive tone gives it a leather-like feel – cool and supple to the touch, yet remarkably lightweight. The name "Alettone" derives from the aircraft aileron: the characteristic flip cover closes with a satisfying snap, much like an aileron clicking into place. Embossed in gold foil, the cover bears the message "Writing by hand is like sending your mind on a journey."

• Pen recommendation: The clip hook works particularly well with slim pens that have a secure clip – such as A6-format fountain pens, slim rollerballs or fine mechanical pencils. Wider grips can press slightly into the bookblock.
