The Sonnenleder "Weill" bank pouch is a slim leather bag made from vegetable-tanned beef leather – crafted and tanned by hand in Germany. The black leather has a matt, firm surface with a noticeable grain: sturdy to the touch, subtly textured under your fingers. The format fits A5 documents perfectly and closes securely with a zip.

Sonnenleder works according to the pit-tanning method: hides pass through several pits with progressively concentrated tanning liquor, a process that takes several weeks. With black finishes, the colour penetration is generally stable; subtle variations in brightness caused by friction and light are a sign of open-pore, unsealed surface – not a flaw, but the character of the material.
