Postalco Story

Postalco Story

Postalco Accessories embody the same thoughtful design approach found in the brand’s notebooks and bags. The range includes pen cases, wallets, key holders, and other everyday tools, all originating from Japan and initiated by Mike Abelson and Yuri Abelson Shimizu. Each piece is created from the desire to consciously design even the smallest utilitarian objects, balancing function, materiality, and aesthetics.

Materiality and Craftsmanship are central to the accessories as well: leather, paper, and textiles are carefully selected, precisely worked, and often produced in collaboration with specialized workshops. Typical are robust, durable materials that do not conceal signs of use but allow them to emerge as expressions of personal ownership. Over time, pen cases and key holders develop their own history and patina.

Products & Forms are defined by clarity and functionality: wallets combine well-organized compartments with compact proportions, pen cases efficiently arrange writing instruments, and key holders unite durability with minimalist design. Everything follows the same principle as Postalco’s larger objects—reduced forms, precise details, and intuitive handling without superfluous decoration.

Attitude & Use: Accessories, too, are meant to be long-term companions. Whether in the office, while traveling, or in everyday life, Postalco accessories are used consciously, repaired, and valued over many years. This quiet consistency, paired with functional beauty, gives these small everyday tools their distinctive character: unobtrusive, intelligent, and sustainable.
