TRC replacements for pencil holder

The refill set for the TRC pencil in brass sleeve contains three short wood pencils in HB hardness and two erasers – precisely matched to the dimensions of the brass sleeve. Replacement takes seconds: remove the old pencil, insert the new one, done. Made in Japan, the same quality as the original pencil supplied with the sleeve.

Features

• HB hardness grade – the medium hardness writes dark enough for notes and sketches, while the line remains clean and controlled; no need to sharpen after every line.
• Wood shaft, ø 7.5 mm, length 75 mm – precisely cut to fit the interior space of the brass sleeve; no play, no wobbling while writing.
• Supplied erasers (ø 10 mm, length 15 mm) – soft enough to lift HB graphite cleanly without roughening the paper; replaces the eraser screwed into the brass sleeve.
• Made in Japan – consistent manufacturing quality identical to the sleeve's original pencil.
• Compact paper packaging – slim box (98 × 27 × 13 mm), fits inside notebook pockets or the outer compartment of a laptop sleeve.

Use & Tips

• Sharpen with a penknife or handheld sharpener – due to the short shaft, the pencil won't fit in rotary sharpeners; a small blade sharpener or knife produces the sharpest point and preserves the wood.
• For sketches and quick notes – HB leaves a uniform, legible line on smooth, calendered paper; on textured watercolour or kraft paper, the graphite appears grainier and suits rough sketches well.
• Eraser replacement – the eraser sits under the screw cap of the brass sleeve; unscrew the cap, pull out the old eraser, insert the new one – no tools needed.
• Pencil supply for on the go – two replacement pencils serve as a reserve in the set; for intensive sketching, sharpening happens more often and short stubs wear away faster than occasional writing.
• Compatible with other pencil stubs – the sleeve generally accepts round pencils with ø ~7.5 mm and length up to roughly 75 mm; those keen to experiment can also shorten and use other wood pencils of matching thickness.
