The TRAVELER'S notebook Card Size 20th Anniversary Set marks a new format in TRAVELER'S notebook history: compact enough for your back pocket, equipped with the modular system fans have known for two decades. The black leather cover is handcrafted and develops a distinctive patina as it ages – each cover becomes a unique piece. The rear of the cover bears an engraved 20th Anniversary logo. The set contains five notebooks with MD Paper plus three accessories that transform the notebook into a compact everyday system.

- New Card Size format (110 × 75 mm) – fits in the palm of your hand and into any jeans pocket; the smallest TRAVELER'S notebook format ever, designed for the spur-of-the-moment: jot down an idea before it's gone.
- Handcrafted leather cover in soft natural leather – each cover is one of a kind. The surface takes on signs of use and develops a warm, deep patina; black leather darkens over time and gains vibrant highlights.
- 20th Anniversary engraving on the rear – an engraved anniversary logo, not a printed marking, but a permanent part of the leather.
- 5 notebooks with MD Paper (blank, 32 pages per notebook) – 3× MD Paper White with grey cover (letterpress logo), 2× MD Paper Cream with brown cover (gold foil stamping). MD Paper is ink and nib resistant and works beautifully with fountain pens.
- Cotton Zipper Case in Navy – made from paraffin-coated thin cotton fabric, hand-stitched near Tokyo. Left compartment for cards, right zip pocket for coins or keys; when placed inside the cover, it functions as a mini wallet.
- Kraft Paper Folder – made from structured, impregnated kraft paper (100 × 130 mm when open); ideal for folded banknotes, tickets, receipts or shop cards.
- 2 Connecting Rubber Bands + 1 spare rubber band – allow multiple notebooks and accessories to be inserted simultaneously; the system remains expandable.
- Limited anniversary edition – once the anniversary series ends, Card Size refills will be available separately, but the leather cover with anniversary engraving will not be produced again.
Use & Tips
- As a quick-note companion: The 32 blank pages per notebook and smooth MD Paper are particularly suited to fountain pens with fine to medium nibs, as well as gel pens and fineliners. Due to the lightweight paper, water-based inks with short drying times are recommended.
- As a compact wallet: Insert the Cotton Zipper Case → coins/keys on the right, two to three cards on the left. Use the Kraft Paper Folder for folded banknotes. There's still room for a notepad in the cover.
- As a card holder: Business cards, loyalty cards or travel passes fit perfectly into the left compartment of the Zipper Case or in the Kraft Paper Folder – the cover holds everything together.
- Modular design: With the Connecting Rubber Bands, you can insert up to two notebooks plus one accessory simultaneously. If you need more capacity, leave out a refill and insert the Zipper Case or Folder instead.
- Leather care: If the cover gets wet, dab dry and let it dry in the shade. Avoid solvents. Do not store directly against other leather or vinyl items, as the black colour may rub off.
For TRAVELER'S Enthusiasts
The Card Size is not a scaled-down Regular or Passport – it is a standalone format with its own refill dimensions (100 × 65 mm). The notebooks are saddle-stitched, which at 32 pages creates a flat, rigid lay in the cover and makes writing to the last line comfortable. The MD Paper itself is produced in Japan and is known for its smooth, slightly creamy surface that offers nibs little resistance and absorbs ink in a controlled manner – no feathering, no bleed-through with normal ink amounts. The Zipper Case is hand-stitched by craftspeople near Tokyo; the paraffin treatment of the cotton fabric makes it water-resistant and gives it a soft, slightly waxy feel. The Connecting Rubber Bands are made of silicone rubber – more durable than traditional rubber bands and less prone to becoming brittle.
